July 14, 2008 - New York City Media Tour
I just got back from a trip to New York City with Cassidy Grimes, AJM’s public relations director and Jeanne Chapman, my chaperone. It was such an incredible experience and we had a blast together! I appeared on CBS the Early Show with Harry Smith (photo on top right), Good Morning America with Diane Sawyer, AJM 1963, and MTV Total Request Live. I also met with sponsors Trish McEvoy and The Girl Scouts of America.
While we were there we were able to see Wicked and In The Heights, two incredible broadway musicals. We also had dinner with two of my AJM sisters, Tyrenda Williams (AJM 1995) and Kiersten Rickenbach (AJM 1993) who both live in NYC right now (photo on bottom right).
So far my experience as America’s Junior Miss has been amazing! Thank you again to everyone who has made this possible for me!

July 2, 2008 - America's Junior Miss 2008
Wow, the America’s Junior Miss Program is incredible. It is such an honor for me to represent the nation as America’s Junior Miss! I still feel almost as if I’m in a dream. The day after I won, I was swept into a whirlwind of interviews, wardrobe, and photos. But now that I have finally made it home, there is no time for a break. I will be heading to New York City next week where I will be on various national morning network television shows in order to promote the America’s Junior Miss program. I already miss my 49 new best friends from the competition!
I want to say thank you to all the girls in the competition for their support and the incredible examples they are to me of the good qualities this program promotes. Thank you also to those who have made my journey so special. I look forward to keeping you updated on my upcoming year!
