Think back to that once-in-a-lifetime experience when you participated in a Junior Miss Program. Remember the fun you had, the lifelong friends you made, the confidence-boosting experience, and the opportunity to receive college scholarships. I smile when I remember representing North Dakota at the AJM national finals in 1969.
By joining the AJM Alumnae Council, you can help offer the Junior Miss experience to women across the country. I want to invite my current Alumnae Council sisters to rejoin us this year; your support means everything! To those who have yet to join, this is a special opportunity to become a valued Alumnae Council member.
Who We Are:
The AJM Alumnae Council is a sisterhood of women who have participated in Junior Miss at any level. It is a wonderful way to stay connected with Junior Miss, develop a network of Junior Miss contacts, and give back to the organization that has touched each of our lives.
What We Do:
Our Mission is to provide services to benefit the personal and professional development of the AJM Alumnae Council members and to aggressively expand the opportunities for young women to experience the value of Junior Miss.
We do this in several ways: the AJM Alumnae Council proudly sponsors three “Be Your Best Self” awards and the Spirit of Junior Miss award at the AJM National Finals; our dues and any additional tax-deductible donations provide the funds for these scholarships; and our Council has a special needs program to help struggling states with operational or scholarship funds.
We are passionate about connecting some of the most dynamic women in this country with one another through the AJM Web site (www.ajm.org). Consider this the ultimate sisterhood of women helping women!
