For more than 54 years, Mobile has been the home of Distinguished Young Women, formerly the America's Junior Miss scholarship program. Each year fifty of the nation's brightest and most talented young women visit the Gulf Coast to compete for more than $125,000 in cash scholarships and the title of Distinguished Young Woman of America.
While in Mobile, participants enjoy some of the area's finest attractions, participate in community service, and build life long friendships. Sponsors and volunteers from the Mobile community donate their homes, time and services to make this event possible.
The 54th National Finals will be held June 23, 24 & 25, 2010 at the Mobile Civic Center Theater.
